lists2Topic: The MONROE-SURNAME-NC mailing list is for the discussion and sharing of information regarding the severalMONROE families and variations (e.g., Munroe) originating in the Cape Fear valley of North Carolina (Bladen, Cumberland, Moore and Robeson counties and surrounding areas) between 1740 and the early 1800s. Beginning in the 1840s, many members of these families moved southwest into Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana and Texas.
