TOLPUDDLE-L
lists2Topic: The TOLPUDDLE mailing list is for the discussion and sharing of information regarding the non-US LOVELESS/LOVELACE surname with particular emphasis on the ancestors and descendants of James and George Loveless who were two of the Tolpuddle Martyrs of Tolpuddle, Dorset, England. The "Tolpuddle Martyrs" were six agricultural labourers who, in 1834, were sentenced to seven years' transportation to Australia for administering illegal oaths while founding a trade union. They all were granted a free pardon in 1836. James and George eventually settled in London, Ontario, Canada. If you are researching the Lovelace/Loveless surname in the United States, please use the Lovelace mailing list described above.
