The Settlers of the Beekman Patent, just published online by NEHGS, has much information about Captain Richard Sackett and his stepson Josias Crego (who Weygant had wrongly concluded to have been Captain Richard's son). The book also has more on Nathaniel Sackett, George Washington's spymaster.
The indented descendant trees are a new feature of Second Site, the website program used for sackettfamily.info. The trees pack in a lot of data in a condensed form. If the larger trees prove too unwieldy, it may be necessary with the next update to reduce the number of generations.
This announcement also appears on The Sackett Family Association Blog at http://thesackettfamilyassociationblog.blogspot.com/. The Blog now has a "Subscribe to" link which may be used to add the blog to your Google, Yahoo, etc. homepage.
The Sackett Family Association welcomes Charlotte Wruck of Queensland, Australia, <charlotte.wruck(a)bigpond.com>, who has been enrolled as member # 293. Charlotte descends from the English line of Thomas Sackett the elder, through Annie Sackett (1870-1942) who married Joseph Fox Marr. Their daughter Elsie Nora Marr, Charlotte's grandmother, emigrated from England to Australia where she died in 1992 at the age of 100.
